Assignment Time Is Play Time When You Get Some Of The Top Designers To Come Out And Play. |
||
|
Here was the plan. Let’s see what some of the top designers can do with a blank canvas. We had an inclination it would be interesting; however, we were amazed at the range of ideas and techniques they created. The subject in this case was the new resin purse from z becky brown. The Creative Clazzic purse is becoming a big hit in the stamper and scrapper worlds for its versatility and, well ... coolness. The crystal resin purse is scratch proof and is approximately 8" x 6" x 4". The inside liner and clear shell allow you to slide in panels of artwork for display. Create a panel for the season, the month, maybe even the week. The only limitation to keep in mind is that the panels can’t be any thicker than 1/8 inch. Collage, paintings, needlework, quilting, family photos, and clay are only a few ideas to consider when decorating the purse. You can customize the purse even more by choosing the tops and handles. Choose between three different handles and two different tops. The rest is up to you. For more information on the Creative Clazzic purse go to www.zbeckybrown.com. Karen Michel: Mixed-media and more. Karen’s purse might be a traveling artist’s journal when it grows up possibly holding mini-journals and supplies. Right now, it’s a fun and colorful expression of her style. Other than making more and more designs for the purse, Karen had a great idea. Maybe trade panels with friends for the ultimate in swaps. Hmmmm ... |

Michael Demeng: Assemblage guru. After seeing Michael’s work at Art Unraveled, we just knew he would create something unique. Our only instruction was, “Make sure you can open it” and “Go Wild!“ Wonder if he’ll notice if we don’t send it back? |

Lisa Pavelka: Admitted polyholic. Lisa put her unique and impressive style to work on this purse. Multiple textured pieces of Fimo polymer clay make up the panels, creating a quirky clay quilt. Touches of metallic flakes and Swarovski crystals give it a special, sparkling touch. Still want more? Lisa added a puff bead, made from clay of course, as a purse charm. |

![]() Syndee Holt (Tiki front) |
Syndee Holt: Self-described techno-geek and clayer. Simple, embossed panels made from Sculpey’s Ultra-light polymer clay and Gold Pearl Ex grace this purse. Syn didn’t stop there though. She also made a tiki version! Get your coconut bra ready and visit our site to see the photos. |

Tim Holtz: Stamper extraordinare. We started by telling Tim it was a container or toolbox but after hours of trying to convince himself it was a toolbox he accepted that it was, in fact, a purse and took it from there. The panels of the purse were embellished with Clearz Tilez and Tabz from Junkitz. The tiles were stamped with various images and inked with Ardirondack alchohol inks. A set of feet finish the purse. Cute idea Tim ... I mean cool idea. |
